Located along the main road leading to the Ba Na Hills resort, the boutique hotel renovation sits on a site embraced by layers of mountain ranges, offering expansive views and a landscape rich in character. This unique setting provides both inspiration and challenge - a place where architecture must respond delicately to nature’s rhythm.
The design reimagines the hotel as more than a place to stay, it becomes a journey of connection between people and the surrounding environment, articulated through refined architectural language and a sensitivity to light, air, and landscape.
In its existing condition, the elongated building maximized views with large openings, yet both façades were fully exposed to direct sunlight, reducing comfort and operational efficiency. The renovation therefore focuses on balance: preserving the panoramic outlook while introducing an effective microclimate strategy.
A new system of projecting eaves acts as a climatic buffer filtering harsh sunlight while maintaining openness and uninterrupted views. Water is interwoven throughout the architecture, transforming these eaves into shallow reflective pools that mirror the sky and surrounding mountains. This integration of water softens light, cools the air, and creates a meditative play of reflections that heightens spatial depth and sensory experience.
Through these subtle interventions, the boutique hotel evolves into an architectural expression of balance and serenity. Every gesture, from the canopy to the water surface and landscape arrangement, is designed to enrich emotional experience, turning each moment of stay into a quiet dialogue with nature.
