BATUMI
Set along the Black Sea coast, the cities of Batumi and Tbilisi in Georgia embody a rare intersection of rich natural landscapes, distinctive climate, and layered cultural heritage. Within this context, Gonio Marina and Krtsanisi Park emerge as two significant milestones: one revitalizing the coastal countryside through sustainable tourism, the other shaping a new model for urban living rooted in balance and greenery.
Guided by an approach that values simplicity and contextual harmony, both projects aim to create equilibrium between built space and landscape, between present needs and enduring values for future generations. Gonio Marina celebrates the dialogue between architecture and nature, while Krtsanisi Park envisions a contemporary community shaped by sustainability and collective well-being.
Architectural forms are expressed through refined lines, open spatial planning, and the use of environmentally conscious materials. Detached villas are designed to embrace natural light and panoramic views, establishing a seamless connection with the surrounding gardens and evoking a sense of openness and tranquility. Meanwhile, the row houses are organized in linear compositions, with rhythmic facades and semi-public buffer zones at the front and back, fostering community interaction and shared spaces.
Through these projects, MIA affirms architecture as a bridge – between people and nature, between local character and modern sensibility. The integration of sustainability, minimalism, and contextual respect sets a new standard for living: modern yet grounded, refined yet deeply human.
